We hope to be able to provide a partial fee waiver for those in highest financial need, and we are actively working on establishing a process for fee waivers. We know the starting college has many costs and we want to make UCLA accessible for everyone. All session fee will be billed in November and due in December. No payment is due when you make a reservation. Your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) fee of $250 does not cover the session fee. The New Student Orientation fee will be billed to your UCLA BruinBill. On campus housing and meals are included in the First Year New Student Orientation session. Between your appointments you will have the opportunity to attend workshops about your interests and goals.ĭay 3: The day begins with enrollment in your Fall Quarter classes. You will meet with your New Student Advisor individually to review your requirements and begin selecting courses for Fall Quarter. Students will stay in the residence halls and will eat in residential dining facilities and campus restaurants.ĭay 1: The day will introduce you to many different aspects of the university: the campus academic environment, faculty expectations, degree requirements, student safety, and the student community.ĭay 2: The day focuses on your major and course planning. Failure to participate in any part of your session is your own responsibility, and can jeopardize proper academic advising and course enrollment. With that in mind, it is our hope that you will take advantage of everything that is offered during your session. Each day is full of activities that will assist you in learning everything there is to know about the campus, from what courses to take to how to get involved, and much more.
